The all-new Hyundai Venue Facelift is set to steal your attention. The Hyundai Venue Facelift 2022 has been witness testing on the highway. The mini SUV has been due for a redesign for quite some time. We may be able to view the improved Venue shortly, based on what we’ve seen during testing (July). Hyundai must ensure that the 2022 Venue is released on time, as competition in this competitive segment is increasing. According to reports, Citroen is also expected to enter the compact SUV category. Hyundai would need to keep it’s offering new and up to date in order to preserve its podium position.
About Hyundai Venue
The Hyundai Venue is among India’s best-selling compact SUVs. It accounts for around 18% to 20% of Hyundai’s sales in India. It’s a well-rounded product in terms of mechanicals as well as space, features, and modern conveniences. However, because the competition has caught up, Hyundai is redesigning the Venue for the 2022 model year, Hyundai Venue Facelift.
The Hyundai Venue is a global product that is sold in the United States, Australia, and many other countries. However, Hyundai is expected to introduce the Venue in India first, followed by other markets, as it did in 2019. The Hyundai Venue Facelift is a B-segment SUV in one of India’s hottest sectors, where competition is fierce.

Exterior
The 2022 Hyundai Venue facelift exterior includes a radical new front design inspired by the international Hyundai Tuscon model. The very same design language is expected to appear on the next Creta makeover. It gets a split headlight design identical to the previous model, with elegant LED DRLs near the hood and square-shaped headlamp units below it. Lower down in the front bumper will be fog lamps.
The front and rear bumpers will also be somewhat altered, with faux skid plates. It also gets a new set of 16-inch dual-tone wheels. The taillights will be changed to be sleeker and wider. The taillights are also outfitted with LED features, enhancing the SUV’s appearance.
Interior
Mechanically, the car will not change. The Hyundai Venue facelift 2022 interior comes with two petrol engines and one diesel engine. Some sector competitors, including the Brezza, Kiger, Magnite, Urban Cruiser, and Punch, do not have a diesel engine.
The lower-tier petrol engine is the 1.2L naturally driven Kappa unit, which produces 82 bhp and 114 Nm. It is beautifully paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The top-tier petrol engine is the 1.0L Kappa Turbo GDi, which produces 118 bhp and 172 Nm. It can be paired with a 6-speed iMT, a 6-speed manual, or a spectacular 7-speed DCT. The diesel engine is a 1.5 L turbocharged U2 CRDi unit with 99 bhp and 240 Nm of torque. It is connected to a 6-speed manual transmission. Venue diesel variants are also slated to gain a 6-speed torque converter, similar to the Sonet.
Features
The Hyundai Venue facelift will include dozens of additional features, such as Bose-branded speakers, heated front seats, a larger touchscreen infotainment system similar to the Sonet, front parking sensors, and a 360-degree parking camera system. Minor changes to the interiors, such as modified seat upholstery and different interior colour schemes, are also expected.
Hyundai is also anticipated to release an N-Line model of the Venue, similar to the i20 hatchback. It will be powered by the same 1.0L turbo petrol engine and will be available with an iMT or DCT transmission. It will also receive some cosmetic upgrades on the interior and exterior to differentiate it from the standard models.
Pricing
The Hyundai Venue Facelift 2022 is estimated to start at roughly Rs. 7 lakh (ex-showroom). This puts it a tier above the Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger. It will be released with the future Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Kia Sonet, Toyota Urban Cruiser, XUV 300, and Tata Nexon, the segment’s and India’s best-selling cars.
