PM E-Drive Scheme Overview

- ₹4,391 crore for the purchase of 14,028 electric buses by state transport undertakings and public transport agencies.
Purpose:
- To boost the demand for electric vehicles.
- To protect the environment by reducing reliance on petrol and diesel vehicles.
Scope:
- The scheme covers a variety of electric vehicles, including:
- Electric two-wheelers
- Electric three-wheelers
- Electric buses
- Electric trucks
- Electric ambulances
Duration:
- Effective Until: March 31, 2026
Benefits:
- For Buyers: Subsidies on the purchase of electric vehicles, including two-wheelers, three-wheelers, buses, trucks, and ambulances.
- For Public Transport: Financial support for electric buses, aiming to enhance public transport sustainability.
