How to Obtain and Download a PUC Certificate Online

A Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificate is crucial for the legality and environmental compliance of your vehicle. If you need to download your PUC certificate, follow these simple steps:

    Online Process:

    1. Visit the Transport Website: Go to the vehicle portal of the transport website relevant to your state or region.
    2. Locate PUC Certificate Option: Find and click on the “PUC Certificate” option on the portal.
    3. Enter Vehicle Details: You will be prompted to enter some basic details, including:
      • Vehicle registration number
      • Chassis number (last five digits)
      • Verification code (captcha)
    4. Access PUC Details: Click on “PUC Details” and then proceed to the option to “Print” or “Download” the PUC certificate.
    5. Download Certificate: Save the certificate to your phone or computer for easy access. This can be used to show traffic police if needed.

    Offline Process:

    1. Visit an Emission Testing Center: Take your vehicle to the nearest authorized emission testing center.
    2. Emission Testing: The vehicle will undergo an emission test to check its pollution levels.
    3. Receive Certificate: After the test, the operator will issue a PUC certificate based on the emission readings. Payment for the test is typically required.
