There is now a new version of the Toyota Fortuner in India, the GR Sport (GR-S). At Rs 48.43 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Fortuner GR Sport costs 3.8 lakh more than the Fortuner Legender 4×4. With the premium price, there are a lot of cosmetic and mechanical updates. In contrast to the Legender, which is available in both 4×2 and 4×4 automatic configurations, the GR-S only comes in 4×4 automatic configurations.
Toyota’s Fortuner GR-S comes with red brake callipers featuring the GR logo, with dual-tone alloy wheels with dark finishes similar to the Legender, but with a slightly revised rear bumper and a body-coloured trim strip running between the taillamps.
The interior is sportier, with black leather seats and suede upholstery with red stitching. The GR logo can be seen on the headrest and steering wheel. Its center console and instrument panel have different finishes.

The Fortuner GR-S has been returned for improved suspension
GR badging and cosmetic updates give the car a sportier appearance as soon as you step inside. The seats are upholstered in black leather and suede leather with red stitching and GR logos on the headrest. There is also a different finish on the dashboard, center console, and steering wheel.
There have not been many changes in the Legender’s equipment from its standard version, which includes dual-zone climate control, an 8.0-inch touchscreen, connected car technology, a JBL sound system, a gesture-controlled tailgate, stability control, seven airbags and traction control.
Several GR badges are located throughout the cabin.
While the engine output remains the same, Toyota has revised the suspension. The SUV is GR-tuned, so we can expect a better ride quality. In addition to 201 hp at 3000-3400 rpm and 500Nm of peak torque between 1600 and 2800 rpm, the Fortuner GR-S is powered by the familiar 2.8-liter diesel engine. All-wheel drive is standard on the GR-S, and the unit is mated to a torque converter automatic gearbox.
